Below, you will find some resources that will be helpful when discussing Tier 3 social-emotional-behavioral needs.
Overcoming Obstacles includes Digital Library where you can view, download, and customize life skills curriculum. Easy-to-use tools allow users to customize every part of an Overcoming Obstacles lesson, down to each word, based on student need. More information can be found HERE.
Resilience, Empowerment, and Natural supports for Education and Work (RENEW) is a structured school-to-career transition planning and individualized wraparound process for youth who may be experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges, have a limited social support system, and need to figure out where they are headed. RENEW is typically designed for designed for older, transition-aged youth.
The Behavior SDI toolkit improves the quality and selection of specially designed instruction while strengthening the connection across
IEP goals, progress monitoring, and KY Academic Standards. The Behavior SDI toolkit can be viewed HERE.
The National Center on Intensive Intervention provides many resources for individualizing interventions, including Data-Based Individualizing (DBI). Intensive intervention helps students with severe and persistent learning and behavioral needs, including students with disabilities. DBI is a research-based process for individualizing and intensifying interventions through the systematic use of assessment data, validated interventions, and research-based adaptation strategies.
